The Real Estate market in Cincinnati, just like other markets across the country, has a taken a hit. According to www.Realytrac.com there have been about 35,000 foreclosures in the past year. However, Cincinnati offers a wide array of housing options with an equally wide range of prices, including properties in areas that have maintained their value despite the slumping economy. Once such area is Anderson Township. Located on the east side, Anderson is generally comprised of the upper middle class homes. Houses in this area range from very large homes in the millions to more conservative homes and condos priced anywhere from $50,000 to $200,000.
Hyde Park is another area of Cincinnati in fairly high demand. With it's high scale restaurants, bars and shopping Hyde Park tends to attract young professionals. The houses in this area are generally historic, there are quite a few Tudor style homes and they are very well maintained. Like Anderson, the price range of homes varies quite a bit. The majority of the properties fall between $200 to $300,000. Hyde Park does have a few areas of comprised of million dollar homes.
Clermont County, which is on the east side, has a more country feel to it. The homes in Clermont County tend to have bigger yards and are set a little further apart than homes in most suburban areas. The value of the homes in thisarea have also held up fairly well. The prices range from around $70,000 to $250,000 depending on the size and location of the home. Some of the areas in Clermont County, including Amelia, offer lakes for fishing and boating, as well as scenic roadways. In fact, not too far down the road, there is an Amish town with two general stores and one large furniture store.
Cincinnati has a population of around 335,000 and is a very family oriented city. Family recreation opportunities are everywhere. The city has many parks. playgrounds, and nature preserves. The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens is renowned for it's conservation efforts and its expansive collection. Other attractions included The Cincinnati Museum Center, which houses the Children's Museum, Krohn Conservatory, and The Newport Aquarium which is right outside the city. A little farther away, about thirty minutes from the city, is King's Island, an amusement park featuring around 47 rides.
By law all Real Estate Agencies in Cincinnati must list all avaliable properties, including those of competing agencies. www.cincymls.com lists all Realtors in the Greater Cincinnati Area. Sibcy Cline Realtors, www.sibcycline.com , have an easy to navigate website with a very comprehensive search, which also includes foreclosures. An alternative search method would be www.Foreclosures.com but it is not a free service.
