Springtime in the Rockies
oh, so grand
A drive over Dallas
steering wheel in my hand
Love Springtime drives
make me feel so alive
Two horses racing me
like the winter wind I flee
Still heavy, snow capped, towering spires
fourteen thousand feet high, reaching higher
to my left, Oh, how they remind you
contrasted against the sky so blue
of a power, beauty, love so sweet
that dreamt up such a wondrous treat
The creek is brown and overflowed
roaring life to all below
racing me down the mountianside
to the thirsty it's glorious ride
The tree leaves all dancing
in the wind birth is singing
free to grow, free to fly
so many birds and new bugs in the sky
a few white lazy clouds floating by
I see everywhere new life in my eye
Tiny, cute, black baby sheep
barely standing still half asleep
Look to my left, look to my right
new evening light chases back the night
giving new warmth where, not days, was a chill
Feel the rays charge, as I fly down the hill
smiling and singing along with the chorus...
Thank you my heaven, thank you my love,
for the life you bestow us
for your undying love
For renewing our spirits, for renewing our worlds
for reminding us yearly
how much you love us

When is winter done
I so long to see the sun
Oh dreary dark gray
When will you go away
Where in God's heaven
Is release

She came softly,
My friend Spring.
She saw me, cold and alone.
She could not stand to see me cry.
One bright morning
