Poetry: Dark dreams

by Blair Vander Voort

Created on: April 23, 2009

Pessimistic bubbles if hope
Float atop a sea
Rippling with possibility
In a room lit brightly
To illuminate her solidarity
One flickering light of motivation
On a line of perception
Cord of common sense
Hanging loosely from an outlet of patience
Burns out as she goes under
Eyes open through the water
Gaze out a window of wonder
Under a ceiling of age
The air of a slow existence
Slips out in an instance
Mindless emptiness fills her
And she could careless
Reemerging to air chilling with reality
Back alone in your room of hopelessness
Door closed the air is thick with despair
And you don't care
