Home school versus High School. So which one is better?
Well maybe a little investigation will tell us but we don't really have time for that so let's go straight to the point.
I go to high school. A private one in fact, but I went to a public one for a week and so I know the whole thing about High School. Okay and then when I stayed at home for a couple of weeks, I experienced Home Schooling so I pretty know everything about that kind of schooling.
So as the name implies, High School means going to the same school as all the other kids you know like Charters' in England and the other public schools or private colleges in the States and Home Schooling as the name also implies means schooling at home where you're taught by a parent or a close relative.
Personally, I think that High Schooling is better than Home Schooling. Why?
With High Schooling, kids get to interact with other kids, start facing life, see what life is really all about, and see the problems surrounding school life. Some of the people that will support Home Schooling would talk about the bullying in high school but those who are home schooled, when they finally come out, they would be a little bit afraid to face all of that because lets face it, there is bullying in the adult stage of life. So High Schooling kind of culture kids to face the world.
High Schooling helps the kids to be able to stand on their own. I bet that we can all remember when we were little toddlers and when we were dropped off at school and we didn't want to leave our parents, but then soon after we grew past that and then we were able to stand on our own. High school helps us become independent. Our parents do not know everything, so when we go to school, we learn more, our teachers can expand their knowledge and impact that knowledge on us. We don't miss anything in High school as our teachers are our parents in the school and they'll cater for us in every way that they can. We have so many opportunities in High School and a greater chance of getting into university. Competitions are available and also scholarships and by the time you win one of these, you'll be happy.
If you're scared about your religion not coinciding with school life, fear no more because there are religious diversities in school. Sikhs, Christians, Muslims, atheist, Judaist, are all in school so your child would be able to blend. Shootings and several calamities at school would scare you a bit but then there are various schools that are very safe for your child to attend. High School gives us the opportunity to do several things that we can't do at home like P.E, Music and so on. So High School is way better than Home School.
