No where to run, No where to hide,
From the storm that has caught my eye,
What she tell me, What did she say?
What to do you when you can't avoid harms way,
The car has stalled, it wont start!
Growing panic in my heart!
I look at the two little ones in the rear,
Must be strong, must hide my fears.
The wind is howling, the sky turns black,
Now the hail begins to attack.
What did she tell me? What did she say?
So many years ago on that day?
I try the ignition once again,
Now the chaos really begins.
The black cloud spinning round and round,
Holy hell the funnel has touched the ground!
What did she tell me, what did she say?
Should we run or should we stay?
Here we are stranded in this field,
It is the little ones I must shield,
Its coming closer, no where to go,
Time stands still, time grows slow,
Finally, "GET OUT OF THE CAR" I heard her voice.
I remember her words, its my only choice!
Seconds later we hit the ground.,
Looking back, the car was nowhere to be found!
I shield my children with my body,
In the mud so wet and sloppy.
The lighting strikes, my children scream,
Please let me wake up from this dream.
Chaos, Panic screams and tears,
I fear the end is near!
I hold my children close and tight,
There is no end within my sight!
Then it ended as quick as it started,
I look up, the clouds have parted!
We embrace each other while sharing tears,
