Enhancing curly hair

Many people with naturally curly hair have a hard time dealing with frizz or just getting their hair to cooperate. I know that I have had this problem, recently I discovered two products that give me the results that I like, and make it easier to manage my hair.

The Company is called Miss Jessie and the base product is called Curly pudding. I know the title sounds funny but the product really is like pudding. The second product is called Curly Buttercreme which acts as a hair lotion to keep hair from fizzing but making it soft and manageable. I use this slightly differently than the website tells you to, because I don't like too many products in my hair. I am going to explain the technique shingling (which focuses more on your own natural curls or Waves)

Step 1. Wash your hair with a detangler and with conditioner in comb through your hair.

Step 2. Rinse out the conditioner take a palm full of curly pudding and pull it through your hair from roots to tips.

Step 3. Separate your hair into about 6 sections clipping each sections separately. The key here is to keep all of your hair wet (not soaking maybe use a spray bottle and mist it) until your whole head is done.

Step 4. Within each section add a little bit more curly pudding (I would say a dime size amount) and separate that section into smaller portions.

Step 5. Pull the smaller portions between your index and middle finger (this is where the shingling name came from) Do this to all portions around your head.

Step 6. Drying your hair you have two options:
1. Air Dry (Which is what I do)
2. Use a tabletop dryer for about an hour
3. Blow dry your hair without combing, brushing, and fluffing with your fingers (So this one takes forever and both of my arms got tired.)

Step 7. Not everyone will need this step. If you haven't had a haircut in a while your hair will look uneven in the back, To fix this using a blow dryer turn it to low and from the roots midway down gently pull your hair to lengthen it. I find that using a bit of curly buttercreme instead of a blow dryer and pulling down has the same effect.

This is just a suggestion for using curly pudding and curly buttercreme. I know that both products are very expensive but I feel well worth it. I have been experimenting with just using curly buttercreme and this works as well it just doesn't have the hold of the culry pudding. I have attached the web address to Miss Jessie's.

Good luck and may your locks stay beautiful!
