Reasons for reading the Bible

"Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding" Proverbs 3:5 Have you read the Bible lately? Do you really know its contents, or merely what you've been told throughout the passing years? Do you know it discusses sex, pornography, politics, love, hate, crime, and just about every topic that you see on mainstream TV, and how to deal with everyday life? What has really kept you from reading the inspired Word of God? Is it because you doubt it's the inspired word of God? Have you given it a fair chance and taken the time to see its contents for YOURSELF and, then, make an adequate judgment? Do you know that many atheists have become believers after reading the bible in attempting to disprove it? Just Google scientist John Clayton! I followed the Eastern tradition of Buddhism, Taoism, Yoga, and the Like, until I realized that all the answers are within the Bible. I found the Bible to be a widely misunderstood and underestimated collection of books among non-bible readers.

Our world would certainly be a better place to live in if most people would sacrifice just 15 minutes of their television time and replaced it with refreshing and inspiring bible reading time before bedtime. The books of Psalms would help them with their suffering; Proverbs with every day wisdom and understanding; most of the Old Testament with understanding God, and the New Testament in understanding and attaining salvation from the wrath to come. Even scientists agree the world will one day seize to exist. Do you wish to understand what this talk of Eternal Life is about? I certainly did? And I'm glad I learned about it. The reality certainly cannot be compared to that of the 2 hours of the wasted daily TV. This is a short life and the days are passing by like hours.

If you have read through the end of this article and have been inspired enough to read the bible, you may purchase one in any bookstore or get a free copy at a local church. Read it from Genesis to Revelation. The answers to how to deal with everyday life and how to be saved from the wrath to come are all there. If you are an atheist, give it a chance anyway so you can truly see both sides of the coin. Remember, there have been many atheists that have changed their opinions about the bible after reading it for themselves. What do we have to lose? It's about Love, Peace, Forgiveness, and much more. How can you go wrong with that? Ask yourself, what else are you doing that is truly more valuable for your spiritual life? I would love to hear your feedback on such an important topic.
