When you play it's always sunshine or sunset;
never dark and never blank.
You can weed out my worries
with the wonder that takes hold.
Each chord, each note-
such detail in its own.
I can stare at you in outstanding awe
or I cannot look at you at all
but boy, you'll never know what I feel
and I believe you never will.
When the music breaks
or when you flop
it's framed in bold reality
but it's still all orange and pinks in my mind
if only you could see
what you do to me
when you play...
Oh, the lovely view
of piano skies.
