sparkling water turns to wine
and ferments fancy in three months time
and when 'tis ready, fills the mouth
'til good behavior travels south
and dizzy spells will never tell

midnight blue, a joke or two
an empty glass I ne'er see through
for condensation clouds for days
while fingers rest and yearn to play.
