Oh how my heart does yearn
For a message from You. When will I learn
That there are messages every day
From you. They sometimes come in a way
That is not obvious and open.
Sometimes the message is not spoken
But comes in a dream or a hug from a friend.
Or a hurtful relationship on the mend.
From a book, or a song. Sometimes pain.
I am seeing so clearly. Sun comes after the rain.
I realize I have my work to do
Yet, now I am willing to be guided by You.
As my journey continues. I walk through the night
Waiting for you. You hold the Light
That transforms. I yearn to merge with that Light so
Much. I wait for the message. Time moves so slow.
