I have a question for you.
Over 80% of households use it; it has been accused of being a legal drug. It sends our children into a severe hyperactivity mode and then drops them an hour later. Several diseases have been linked, or proposed to be linked to overuse of this awful substance; including diabetes and Parkinson's disease and Candida to name a few. Yet as toxic as it is, it still remains to be one of the most common kitchen products that people purchase and retain in their household. So I ask you, why are you still using sugar?
I have another question for you.
What product offers antioxidant benefits by helping our immune system and treats stomach problems such as indigestion, ulcers, diarrhea and gastroenteritis? What product offers numerous natural healing benefits, keeps levels of blood sugar adequate, naturally boosts energy, assists in treating bad breath, athlete's foot, arthritis, acne and yeast infections? And is sweeter than sugar because of it's high fructose content?
If you have not guessed it, the answer is honey.
Because honey is an all natural product, it offers hundreds of health benefits. Sugar comes from cane or sugar beets, during the process of this product being refined.
Anything that is good for you is stripped away; all vitamins, minerals, enzymes and proteins as the sugar becomes pure sucrose. Sugar is unnatural, addictive and damaging to the human body in so many ways. Honey is just the opposite.
In doing my research about honey, I have found several testimonials of people who lost weight by replacing all recipes that called for sugar with honey, making it not only delicious but nutritious, as well.
Consider that excess sugar gets processed into fat, but not honey; honey is fat free and free of cholesterol. Honey contains an overload of vitamins and minerals like thiamin, niacin, riboflavin and B6 to name a few. But honey is not only good for you and good for cooking and sweeteninglook at some other benefits:
Have a hangover?: Try one T of honey, 5 T of orange juice and five T of all natural yogurt. Blend together until smooth and drink down.
Have a sore throat?: Honey soothes the sore throat and kills certain types of bacteria due to its antimicrobial elements. Try one T of honey, four T of lemon juice and a pinch of salt; stir together and drink.
Have insomnia?: Try 1 glass of hot milk with a tsp of honey or try two tsp of honey in a cup of chamomile tea and sip.
Have acne?: After you wash your face, apply raw honey to the affected area
