These online auction sites are a great way to create an additional stream of income especially for existing business owners selling products. For an antique store, during the slow times at the store selling antiques online is a great use of time or for businesses looking to get rid of old inventory or looking to liquidate old or used equipment.

I give these online auction sites a big thumbs up, because I successful sold stuff online and got more money than selling it at a yard sale.

Writing

Writing for websites like Associated Content and Helium is a great method to build a passive income. Because you write an article one time but generate income over long periods of time I consider this a passive form of income. The most important part of writing for these online magazines is that you provide excellent, high-quality content on subjects of interest.

I also found that writing at these online magazines about topics that relate to your business can enhance your image as an obvious expert in your business. For example, if you're a plumber, you can write articles about self help for simpler repairs, how to evaluate your home for plumbing needs, the top errors that people make, etc. Prospects can be directed to these articles to find out more about you and your business.

Blogging

Blogging, although still time intensive, shows some tremendous opportunities for building income. Each blog post is a form of passive income because they will be indexed for keywords by search engines and constantly accessed by readers on the Internet.

Blogging generates income by synergizing with other income generating source like selling a product and service, E-books, and affiliate marketing. There are two main methods to employ blogs for income. You can either go big or small. By big, I mean one blog site with many subscribed readers that generates a huge income. The other method is many small, well targeted niche sites that each attract readers through specific keywords and generate a constant small income per site.

Websites

By web sites, I mean, paid membership sites or an informational site with advertising for income. Online education is on the rise so paid membership sites or programs are becoming more profitable
