As good as some of the contestants on American Idol have been, they have put out their fair share of clunkers as well. Even this season, which may prove to be one of the best roundups ever, there have been some pretty impressive foul ups that have you shaking your head as to how they got their in the first place. The first one that comes to mind was Scott McIntyre screaming out lyrics that he had no right singing in the first place. However, that does not hold a candle to some of the all time worst performances on American Idol.

Constantine Maroulis was one of the better rock contestants that have ever graced the show. His Bohemian Rhapsody had both the crowd and judges on their feet. However, as good as that performance was, his rendition of Hard to Handle was just as bad. He immediately showed up on Vote for the Worst as their prime candidate because of the sheer screaming that he tried to pull off as singing. We loved you Constantine, but not this time.

Tamyra Gray seemed to have it all. She was beautiful, she could sing and she had a great body. On the night she sang New Attitude however, there were only 2 pieces of that puzzle in place and she had the cats running under the bed to hide from the horrible noises that were coming out of her mouth. She never found her groove that night and remained off key throughout the song. It was not the all-time worst, but it isn't too far away either.

Our list could not be complete without having Sylvia Chibiliti on hit. As she attempted to sing Didn't We Almost Have It All, you had to wonder if she could speak, let alone sing. There are no words that could describe this awful performance, but if you want a little entertainment on a slow night, YouTube this rendition and you will be in stitches in a matter of seconds.

Bobby Bennett sings Copacabana! This is what you expect to hear at your local bar on Karaoke night, not on American Idol. His appearance and singing performance that night did not disappoint as he was almost laughed off the stage. His dancing and singing that night were so awful, there isn't enough space on this page to describe the fiasco that took place.

While there are performances from John Stevens (Crocodile Rock), Jasmine Trias (It' Raining Men) and Kevin Covais (Part Time Lover Google this if you want a laugh) that would give our last selection a run for the worst performance ever, the nod had to be given to Kellie Pickler as she sang Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered.

Kellie's song choice could not have been more perfect on the evening as bewildered is exactly what she seemed to be on this night. The week prior she had sang a cheesy version of Bohemian Rhapsody and then she laid a huge egg with this song. Somehow, she managed to lose pace with the song and even admitted, "Ah butchered it." In most cases, the singer will at least try to put up a front that they had a good performance, but when they throw it out there, it cannot be ignored. This was easily one of the worst American Idol performances of all time.
