Fun things to do in bed

Couples are often challenged with everyday routines. Going to work, dropping kids off at school, attending classes, coming home, having dinner, working in the yard, doing the laundry; these day-to-day activities can drown a dedicated couple in habitual boredom. While there are many ways to enjoy life and for couples to grow together, the bedroom should be a focus for relationships. Here are some ideas to keep it fresh and exciting in the bedroom.

Playful fighting - Stage a full-contact tickle fight. Get close and let your limbs get tangled with your partners' and wrapped around each other. Make sassy comments, teasing without mentioning sore subjects. Gently wrestle around and use pillows occasionally. Guys, let her pin you down. Gals, suggest something seductive when the fight simmers down.

Play with toys - Especially if sex toys are intimidating, go to an adult store together and pick out something you will honestly try, and then go home and give it an honest try. Be understanding of one another, and communicate while trying it for the first time. For veteran toy users, try upping the bar with variations on familiar toys or completely new toys.

Add a soundtrack - Make a playlist or CD of songs that get you going. Save the cheesy love ballads for another time, and choose upbeat songs that are more sexual in nature.

Vocalize - Many couples already know the added intensity that comes from verbally communicating in bed, but there are many ways to spice it up in this manner. Saying your partner's name, for example, or describing in no polite language what you're feeling can be very erotic. Speaking in another language, even if your partner doesn't understand, can also amplify the passion.

Be romantic - I suppose it's unavoidable to include the sappy, romantic take on bedroom activities. Beyond lighting candles and spreading rose petals, try to be original and personal in this area. Invest in some linen spray of his or her favorite scent, and spray it just before your partner enters the room. Buy dim lights that change colors, for a unique environment. Make the room significantly cooler and cuddle up to watch a good movie - then make a move to stop watching the movie.

This list is by no means inclusive of all possibilities. Ultimately, you and your partner will have unique interests and some things will work better than others. The first step to a more exciting and passionate love life is to try new things. If your partner is on the same page, then he or she will be grateful that you took the initiative, and experimenting together will bring you closer.
