The Idol show: the search for a superstar!

Nowadays there are few talent shows created. At first, there is American Idol and it has become one of the most popular shows on American television. This show seeks the best singer in the country through a series of nationwide auditions. And the result is determined by public voting by phone and text messages.

And it's spread worldwide including in my country, Indonesia.

Indonesian Idol is an annual Indonesian singing competition which began its first season in 2004. In recent years it has became one of the most highly publicized music competitions in Indonesia. After Indonesian Idol's appearance on Indonesian television, many new reality shows have been aired. Why? This is because today many people interested for becoming an instant artist. Each of them has their own reason behind this enthusiastic behavior for this competition. There is main reason of all, popularity. Get rich and famous.

First, everyone got their own talent whether in writing skill, computer skill also in singing a song. They have rights to develop and use that skill in public, of course they should have a real talent and good perform.

In the name of becoming an idol, everyone, who "think" they (at least) can sing a song and remember the entire song, race to become an Idol. Of course, some of them really have a crystal voice, knows how to sing a song with great tunes without over control and really have nature talent becoming a singer.

Then, when somebody thought that he/she have a good voices, can maintain the pitch control also have a good sense in singing a song, then they dream to make it real. Become a real artist, like their favorite singers, such as Glenn Fredly also Krisdayanti. By this reality show, they can show their ability in front of judges and TV viewers that they really have the guts and talent.

When someone won the competition and becoming popular, what else they got? Popularity, busy with tight album promo schedule then pan for gold. If the fortune goddess on their side, the album success they become sudden rich people. Then, who doesn't want to have lots of money in short term?

Some people think that being a singer is lots easier to get some money, than become a businessman who should started from the lowest stage and sometime it takes time.

Becoming an artist, at this moment much easier and there is lots of ways. We can see there are few new reality shows created for build an instant artist. Who help them to feel how to be like a star with popularity like they seen their favorite artist on TV. But mostly they didn't think that much to maintain this popularity. Many this instant artist is glowing for couple months after won the competition after that they just like vanished and people sudden forget bout them. They should know and learn that becoming artist is not that easy and still need strategy also experience. So, be aware for Idol mania, please ensure yourself for anything that might happen. Remember, more instant achieving something, might lose in easy way.
