It's been 9 years since the release of Street Fighter 3..Now Capcom's favorite 2d fighter is back, but does it live up to all of the hype? Find out!

Graphics 9

Street Fighter IV is a 2d fighting game with 3d graphics. The graphics are done in a beautiful lush artistic capcom style. The frame rate is smooth and the backgrounds are detailed and colorful. From light effects to Fireballs, Street fighter IV is a work of true capcom style art all the way through.

Sound/Music 8

There's noting like hearing the classic shouts of "hadouken" to remind you of the old days of street fighter. The sound effects are crisp and clear but seem to lack base, some moves seem like they need more thud sound to it. The voice acting is kinda like a 50/50 deal meaning, that are some characters you will like in English and some you wont But happily you can set anyone to Japanese after the game is beaten. Which of course is a great feature to have. Lastly the new background music is good and really matches the stages that there set for. But to me the best tracks are the remixed Classic themes that you'll remember from previous SF games, Which are only played in special matches. I just wish they had sound test menu where you can hear all the games music like you could in SSF2.

Control: 9

The controls are fast and responsive, putting in motions in is easy, my only beef is with the X360 controller sometimes the D-pad isn't accurate as the PS3's controller.. I recommend getting a SF IV MadCatz's fightpad controller to really get the most out of it.

Gameplay 8

I have to say this is ware the game shines! It's everything that you would expect from a street fighter game. Capcom has added new features like the "focus attack" and "Ultra combos". The focus attack can be performed at any time and canceled to keep your opponent guessing it can also nullify your opponents attacks like the alpha counter in SFA. The Ultra combos can be performed when your Ultra meter is built up from getting attacked. The game has a quick learning curve and anyone can be good if they take advantage of the training and challenge modes. My only beef is there are some missing super moves. Anyone seen Ryu's Shin Shoryuken? Playing arcade mode is fun there is a fight your rival match that comes up right before fighting the boss where the characters will interact with each other in a 3d cut scene. It nice feature and I think it adds something to the game. There are a lot of Characters to choose from and everyone's favorites from SF2 are back in this game and joining the cast this time are four new characters (Abel, C. Viper, Seth, Rufus, and El Fuerte). Along with some bonus characters not seen in the arcade version.

Replay Value: 8

With all challenges in challenge mode and all the achievements to get there is a lot to

Keep you busy here. If you have friends who are into SF or fighting game in general than there is a lot more replay value. Online there's always someone willing to challenge you though but if your going to fight online it is better that you have a good connection! Or everything will moving slow and sometimes the match will even be cancelled!

Overall: 9/10

There are lot of good things about this game , If your fighting game fan then get this now you wont regret it. Even if your not there is still lots of fun to be had in this old school Fighter.
