A man will marry a woman for a variety of reasons.

Love

When a man truly loves a woman with all of his heart and soul, he will take her to be his wife. When a man has this level of affection for another person, he will not let another week pass without confirming his space in her life.

Love is so powerful that it will make even the most shy man come out of his shell. The man will not waste time thinking about whether or not he should or shouldn't;t because deep down in his heart, he knows the answer to this question from day one. When he gets married out of love, the reward shows up continuously during the years.

Business

Sadly some men get married for business reasons and the marriage tends to take the shape of just that. It is all about the money with some men. Money translates to happiness in their eyes. It becomes a life long transaction instead of a scared union. If a woman is the bread winner in the relationship, the man may be motivated by that alone and seize the opportunity to have access to her funds. Some marriages work out for many years this way as long as two people are fine with the arrangement. However, in the long run, money does not buy love. One will learn that lesson in due time.

Fear of Being Alone

Some men rather be married period than be alone. In some cases, it has northing to do with the woman at all. It is just a convenience having someone around. This is not the best reason, but it happens more often than you may realize. Some men don't want to ever be by themselves because it will make them face the reality of their own lives. It is an escape. Unfortunately entering a marriage based on need is never a good idea because the person will always be in a position to get hurt.

Pressure from family and friends

Family can be a blessing and a curse at the same time. In times like this when a man has to make an important decision about the future of his life, family can sometimes push him a direction because he is ready. For instance, if a man is 30 years of age an not married yet, the family may think something is wrong with him and begin putting pressure upon him. As a result, he may accede to the pressure being applied and get married to a woman just to get them off his back.

Marriage should be for love. When the foundation is right, it will make the difference between a union that lasts and one that does not. The premise of marriage determines the outcome.
