When dressing to stand out in a crowd and impress others simultaneously, wear clothing that attracts the most attention in the greatest number of people that you will encounter at any given moment. However, the clothing must show-off your particular physique, figure, and special features. The colors that you choose must flatter your hair color, eyes, skin tone, and personality type. Lastly, your dress style must suit the occasion or you risk others turning away. For instance, don't wear jogging clothes to work. You want to stand out in an acceptable manner.
To help you achieve this affect, you might consider visiting an expert hairstylist, hair colorist, and image consultant. If your budget doesn't permit these expenditures, there are many books on these subjects. There are books on choosing a haircut for your face shape (diamond, heart, oval, long or square); skin coloring (winter, spring, summer & fall); shape and size (mesomorph, endomorph, ectomorph). The basic principles for attracting attention apply to both males and females.
You need not resort to extreme measures to attract attention. It can be as simple as one woman wearing her long flowing hair loose around her face, rather than in a bun or ponytail. If you draw a great deal of attention wearing a black suit with a stark white blouse, that is how you'll impress others and stand out in a crowd. You want to dress in such a way that impresses others, enhances your physical attributes, and delights you at the same time.
Once you have discover the clothing and the colors that complements your shape and face, wear only those styles and colors. When you are in the office, include a splash of color in moderation. Add a scarf or a colorful stylish handbag that is modern as well as classic in design to your wardrobe. Men might wear a multihued tie that catches the eye that sets him apart as an individual, all quite cleverly, of course.
For special occasions or when attending a party, put on your most flattering and vibrant clothes so that you won't blend into the crowd. This will call attention to you, which you would normally avoid. For instance, women must consciously court the spotlight and wear a fuscia outfit with matching hosiery rather than their old standby dark colored dress and flesh tone hosiery. Men will wear their dark navy suit with a deep pink shirt, rather than a pale pink one, which is normally worn in the office. This promotes being noticed from across the room amidst a sea of pale blue and pink shirts.
Don't forget your hair. A good haircut that is smart goes a long way in calling attention to you as someone to notice. There is nothing so appealing as a haircut that is just so, which looks better on you than anybody else. It is hard for people to turn their head away from such a handsome vision. Naturally, you'll want a good hairstylist to accomplish this grooming magic.
Remember, you want to impress and attract attention with your whole appearance. Therefore, when coats are in season, winter, fall, or spring, choose one with as much care as you would when buying a suit. The same applies to buying shoes and jewelry, choose with the skill of a craftsman.
It does make a difference the handbag/wallet, necktie, scarf, and jewelry that you decide to wear. From the very watch that you strap on your wrist to the rings you place on your fingers, you must think in terms of standing out in the crowd, impressing, or drawing eyes towards you. After all, it is the lingering eye that signals your distinctiveness.
