Pants

When I opened up this article, I immediately thought shorts. But then I thought- no, no way would I wear shorts while on a dangerous bicycle machine. I then also thought of how embarrassing it could be (I don't know if this is you) for a person wearing shorts that is to say healthy in size. Also known as a rather large person.

But pushing all personal commentary aside, I prefer pants. Flexible pants, not always sweats, because they can look un-classy at times and can be bad for scouting. By saying "scouting" I am referring to the male (or female, but as I am a male, we'll go with male) scouting for ladies. You "scope" out the "chicks," and they "scope" out you. It can be very bad for "business," so to speak.

For exercising, it's best to go for a light pair of pants - flexible, as I previously mentioned - so as to safely get you from Point A to Point B. Maybe you'll go for a jog. In 40 or below temperature, I highly doubt you'll be suiting up for a sexy job in skimpy clothing. So, you go with long pants.

Shorts are great for the summer, but a pain if you fall or hurt yourself on an artificial bicycle machine. Why I relate to this continuously is because I HAVE hurt myself continuously on a bicycle machine many times - four, to be exact. All of them because I was wearing shorts and didn't adjust the seat properly.

Long pants are also great to wear for a workout because of their flexibility. You can have a lot more fun, and do a lot more things while wearing long pants. You can jog in whatever temperature you wish without feeling TOO worn out. You can also roll up your pants if you get too warm.

Note that you can't do that with shorts.

If it gets chilly, you're the equivalent of a deer in the spotlights. You're about to get run over by the weather you SHOULD have prepared for, but neglected doing so. And now, as that car comes closer, you're about to receive that clearly avoidable consequence.

I was reading one of the articles that is leading in this debate. More specifically, one that talked about Arnold Schwarzenegger and his exercising style. I agree with the author (whose name I will not disclose), in that shorts are a reminder of who you are and what you need to work on.

Of course, not all of us are that brave. So, let's take a step back. Until you can win over five Olympia titles, build one hell of a body, and create muscles the size of golf balls and tree legs, pants are for those less muscular and more practical.
