There comes a time
When I can hold on no longer.
I feel the strength
Of my finger's grip
Begin to fade.
I give up
Cave into the overwhelming
urge to let go, to rest.
I slip,
I feel myself tumbling
Through time
Through space.
And along the way
There is darkness
Yet still I see every image
Every line in your face.
Then I hit that icy wall
That cold water
That chills
So you cannot move
Cannot cry out for help
Just let the water take me
That is all I can do,
And as I drown in this sorrow
All I can think about is you.
And the urge I had
To make you smile
To hear you laugh.
Your happiness
Is my aphrodisiac.
But now,
No more,
I could hold on
Only so long
Through your constant
Shoving me back.
So I will go,
I will continue on my path
Alone.
Just as I started out
So many years ago.
The emptiness that my heart feels
Will numb into nothing.
And turn into a scar,
So tough,
That no one
Will touch again.
After you
After all that I've been through
And then you
I'd rather be alone
Than cry another night
I'd rather be alone
Than feel this way again.
And alone is where I'll be
For over the edge
Is where you pushed me.
And as I drown in this sorrow
All I can think about is you.

I think I know why cold winds blow
creating snow on yonder hills
my love no longer sees my glow

Searching for a stronghold

It was wonderful....it is almost gone.
I will be sad...when it is not here...
For it is almost gone.
