There is no better way to spend a Walt Disney World then to stay at one of the Walt Disney resorts. While it is possible to spend over $3000 per night to stay in a suite at one of Disney's Resorts, there are more affordable options. With rooms from $82 to $160 per night (depending on the time of year), Disney's All-Star Sports resort is one of those options.
Disney's All-Star Sports resort opened in May of 1994 with 1,920 rooms divided into five theme sections. The five themes are Touchdown!, Center Court, Homerun Hotel, Surf's Up! and Hoops Hotel. Each of the five sections is decorated to match the sections theme. The Touchdown! Section has a football theme, the Center Court section has a tennis theme, the Homerun Hotel has a baseball theme, the Surf's up section has a surfing theme and the Hoops Hotel section has a basketball theme.
Disney's All-Star Sports resort has two pools and a play ground. The Surfboard Bay pool is the resort's main pool, and is located in the Surf's Up! section of the resort. The Grand Slam Pool is shaped like a baseball diamond, and includes a statue of Goofy on the mound, "pitching" jets of water. The Grand Slam pool is located in the Homerun Hotel section of the resort. The playground is located between the Surf's Up! and Touchdown! sections of the resort. There is also a coin operated laundry mat located near both of the pools. Located next to the Surfboard Bay Pool is the Team Spirits Pool Bar.
Stadium Hall is the main entrance for the resort. In front of Stadium Hall are the Disney Transportation Bus stops that take resort guest to the Walt Disney World Parks and Downtown Disney. Disney Transportation is provided free of charge Disney Resort guest. Disney Transportation provides bus service to the four theme parks, two water parks, Downtown Disney and the Ticket and Transportation center. Traveling times to the parks range from 10 to 30 minutes depending on which park you are traveling to. Buses normally leave every 20 minutes, and often more frequently during the morning and evening rush.
Stadium Hall is also where you will find the Check-in Lobby, Concierge services, Disney's Magical Express, Game Point Arcade, Sport Goofy Gift and Sundries, and End Zone Food Court. Sport Goofy Gift and Sundries offers a variety of souvenirs, as well as basic toiletries. The food court offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. The foot court
