True Beauty

the beauty of a woman
is not worn upon her face
it's found instead within
her warm and soft embrace

it's measured by the little things
she does that make you smile
it's determined by her willingness
to go that extra mile

it's presented through unselfishness
in nearly everything she does
and through the loyal protection
of all of those she loves

it's not about the clothes she wears
but the style that she shows
as she helps to feed a hungry mouth
of one she doesn't know

you won't see it in just her body
that's not what makes her whole
you must get to know her better
and see well into her soul

true beauty of a woman
is a treasure beyond compare
if you're lucky to discover it
remember it is precious and rare

guard it with your life
for the reward is more than gold
with the beauty of a woman
you'll always have a hand for which to hold
