The case for more complete games

Face it baseball fans...the era of the complete game is far behind us. No longer do you have a manager that wants to sacrifice a single pitcher weather its there number 1 or number 5 for an entire game. Pitch counts are garbage, five day rests are completely outrages. You would think that in an era where athlete have personal trainers and work out twelve month out of the year that ther stamina and strenth levels would be out of this world and they'd be able to pitch 12 innings if needed but as we all know thats not the case these days. Maybe we have start looking towards talent level more than anything else when it comes down to this conversation, maybe a vast majority of pitchers are not talented enough and don't have the mental toughnes to go an entire game. You also have to look at the willingness of a pitcher to want to change there style of pitching as there career gets further and further along, there isn't many Roger Clemens and Nolan Ryans out there that could still be power pitchers into there mid forties. Maybe if the league wasn't so watered down and the competition within every team was stout you would see better baseball all around, the best pitcher would be out there everyday pitching for there lives...or at least there career thats for sure.
