Coffee is a substance that really makes a person's entire body system burst into sudden alertness, as it races off the caffeine additives that the drink contains. It is often referred to as the morning rush', and is drunk religiously. No one can take away it's alerting values, it really is the morning wake me up, that works as fast as the time it gets you to step through your front door. But is it really all that good for you? Or is it a health risk.

The answer is of course, health risk. It is not only a substance that is bad for you, but when it is administered inside the right body, it can actually become lethal.

How is that so?

The caffeine:

Caffeine is one of nature's natural stimulants. It is a very bitter, white, crystalline xanthine alkaloid, and was discovered by a German chemist named, Friedrich Ferdinand Runge in the year 1819. He label it as kaffein' and had written it to be a compound that is found in coffee, and includes elements that is found in guarana, mate, and tea. In nature, caffeine acts as a natural pesticide, and can paralyse certain types of bugs that feed on caffeine induced plants.

In humans, caffeine effects the central nervous system. This means it actually races up the process at an alarming level. It can be dangerous for those who have heart conditions, or asthma. Heart conditions can be made worse when caffeine is administered into the body system. Occasionally caffeine can even cause a person to have a stroke, or a heart attack, when they are on the move. This is because the caffeine stimulant pumps up their body system, and makes the body work harder then it should. Some items like Red Bull drinks' contain additives to make the body even more stimulated, even with the high amounts of caffeine. This has been causing problems amongst consumers, and the health board officials have sighted that the drink may contain strong elements, which may be harmful to the human body - especially to those who have heart conditions, who are pregnant, and who suffer diabetes. So caffeine can act as a poison amongst humans, and do more harm then good despite the fact that it passes as a safe food ingredient'.

So look out for those products that are caffeine enriched, and try to stick to other drinks in order to get the daily fix. Caffeine is a killer just waiting to happen, and is an abortion a sip away from happening. So be smart, do your body a favour, turn away from the morning fix with the flavour. It's not worth risking your health in order to follow the trend - make the bend, and free yourself from caffeine.
