Imogen sitting at the grande piano.
Fingers rigid, staring at the keys.
Big green eyes, still and sharp, focussing.
Anticipating the notes she must play, Anxious in the moment,
Frozen to the spot. Stomach in a knot.
The audience anxiously awaiting the moment, sliding forward in their seats.
She applied just the right amount of pressure to the C key, a tease.
A mountainous uproar echoed throughout the elegant concert hall, cheers of passion.
Her tease gained the desired effect.
She reeled them in like a fish on a hook. My very soul shook.

Poetry: The songwriter
by Jon Coe
Two strings, six, seven or twelve
into the universe, I deviously delve
Looking for a note, riding on my pain
plucking a nerve,
His pencil drawn face, with unshaven shaded parts,
Painting his own scars, to parallel his art,
Living in disguise,
Refuse
The songwriter sits at
his desk all alone
And tries to weave memories
into a poem that
will be set to music,
a melody lively
by Kaavs
The power of the pen's ink,
Showers through my song's word.
It's unlike what you think,
It's a voice never been heard.
Feelings
by Andi Lexzara
The songwriter lives in you
She sees the images you see
Experiences those vibrations running through your veins as you
