The Unsung Love...
The train began to slow down. As the station loomed forward, he could hear the announcement over the microphone. Finally, the train stopped at the station. He began to gather his luggage which consisted of a suitcase, a bag and a backpack. As he disembarked from the train onto the platform, he's filled with nostalgia and sadness. From the doorway she handed over his suitcase and his bag.
It's mid-summer, with simmering sun showing not the least of clemency. They found an unoccupied bench, where they sat abreast. She looked extremely beautiful, a seraph bound for the heavens above. They sat there for an eternity, gazing into each others eyes, not able to break the lingering silence. They had lots to say, yet they chose to remain silent.
After awhile, he decided to put an end to the misery, "so, do mail me", that's all he could say, the lump in his throat getting bigger with each cantering miserable moments. "I mean, your Lassi ", he reminded.
"Oh!" She smiled, her conspicuous dimple emanating all those wonderful moments that he shared with her.
"Let's share this", she said with a twinkle in her eyes, "OK! You first, I'll finish up ", he acceded.
"No, not like that, we'll share from the same bottle at the same time ", she said mischievously.
"You are serious!" He asked, rather alarmed than astounded. "Yap!" She confirmed solicitously, a glint of amusement and alacrity flashed in her ever graceful eyes.
He fished his straw into the bottle, and they began to sip the Lassi together. They exemplified a juvenile courtship and bliss. The by-stander awe-struck by the unusual scene; some with their mouth wide-open, some guffawed, some merely smiled as they went by.
However, to them nothing else mattered. They had never felt so close to each other, their vibes entwined, and their breaths synchronizing slowly. Two hearts which began to beat with one frequency and wavelength. They're two bodies, embodied within a single soul.
"Nothing last forever ", the bottle of Lassi finally drained of its last molecule brought them
