I have naturally curly hair and I used to hate it. I used to hate it because it wouldn't matter what gel products I used or how I blow-dried my hair. My curls refused to be tamed. If I used a blow dryer, my hair would frizz out. If I tried using a gel, only half of my curls would bounce. Then, while searching through the Internet I came across a Garnier Fructis product line called "Sleek and Shine". I figured it wouldn't do much for my hair, seeing as the other straightening products didn't work as much. One of the products in the "Sleek and Shine" line was a conditioner creme. Conditioner creams usually work like this: after shampooing your hair, you could either leave your hair damp or dry it a little and then afterwards, put on the cream throughout your hair and comb it out. I've used conditioner creams before and wasn't expecting much either. I thought to myself that possibly, maybe, it might work.
I combed through my hair, tied it into a bun, and went on with my day. I started seeing the results a couple of hours later. I was watching TV and ran my hands through the top of my head and was surprised to find that my hair was not only straightening, but it was soft. I've never felt my hair like that before! The next day, after my hair dried out completely, it was straight. There was no frizz, no bunch-a-curly hair sticking out! My hair was straight as it could be (I have a lot of hair). It wasn't flattened-down straight, but it was straight and a little wavy, which looked really cute. It gave my hair a little Tina Fey chic, which is a style I always wanted to imitate.
So now, I don't mind my curly hair so much. Now I can save some of that Salon money and put it into my savings, because the conditioner cream was that good! The cream works even better with a hair straightener, which I immediately bought afterwards. Now, not only can I save money, but I have an easy go-to to make my hair look glamorous. My hair doesn't have the salon treatment, but the cream does make it look presentable. Your hair stays soft and it smells great, too. The shampoo works great with the conditioner. The shampoo makes your hair soft and silky, allowing the conditioner to do its thing.
The moral of the story here is, if you're having trouble with taming curly hair like I did, I recommend Garnier Fructis' Sleek and Shine conditioner cream. Your money will be well spent, and you won't have to struggle with trying to keep your curls in check.
