Butterfly Emerge Again
I came out of the dark chrysalis
Wonder and joy at my new found freedom
A birth of a soul
Stifled too long
A dark long passage
with no end in sight
Hidden in a cocoon of
patient loving grace
Not really knowing
That once I was born
The flight would be short and joyful
But others came and stole my beauty
Took it away
They saw a butterfly in flight
How dare she fly, be so
joyous, so colorful,
So free unlike me
How dare she be?
The butterfly dance
was brief and complete
Now I'm back in the darkness
Of a warm pregnant womb
I wait for my wings once again
Once again I know
I'll be born, and I will bloom

kaleidoscope colors,
