How to screen capture a web page

A picture speaks one thousand words. Ever heard that phrase before? If you haven't, what rock have you been living under for during your lifetime? Now I am assuming that you're rather curious as to why I introduced my article in such a manner. Well obviously, I'm implying that instead of infesting your web page with those long, strenuous lines of text, you should insert pictures in there. Not only does it reduce your time significantly, but the user's as well. Being able to access information quickly is an important aspect towards developing guides and reducing boredom to your viewers, and creating pictures is a predominant way to do this on the internet. However, you will have to actually know how to capture screenshots live from your computer before you can actually upload any pictures to your website.

To decide how you will produce screenshots, firstly discover what computer you have. You're now on the road to developing your first screenshot!

If you own a Windows Vista computer, then there's an exceedingly easy and swift program that can snag those pictures for you! Simply go to your start button, the one with a miniature icon that resembles a multi-coloured flag in a way! Now search for the Snipping tool program. This nifty program, as meagre and simple as it may appear at first impressions, has the ability to produce outstanding pictures in the period of just seconds. Simply click on the program and it shall open, and then create a new picture by clicking on the option telling you to do so. Select a particular region of the screen and hold the left button to highlight what shall be captured. Soon enough, you've got your picture. Penultimate step: hold CTRL and S on your keyboard in unison. Finally, complete your picture by saving it with a given name. If you're a regular screenshot user, I would recommend adding this program to the taskbar.

For Windows Xp computer users, simply press ALT and PRTSC to develop a quality image screenshot. Now open Microsoft word or a Paint program and paste this fascinating piece of art you produced! There you go, you've established a screenshot!

For Mac users, CTRL+ SHIFT+ 4 will produce crosshairs which resemble your mouse cursor. Simply drag these around to form a picture. When you're satisfied with your picture, release your finger from the mouse to bamboozle yourself with the picture! The picture should be placed on the desktop of your computer, so you'll be able to find it there.

If you're definitely unsure as to what computer you own, or don't believe that your computer owns a screenshot program, a laborious process awaits you. Go on Google and search Techsmith then follow the link to their website. You should be able to find a program known as SnagIt, which allows you to capture portions of your screen as a picture. Download the program, which may prove time-consuming. Agree to the installation and eventually you'll find yourself with a program similar to Snip-it (see the earlier post.) This program also boasts astounding features.

Hopefully now you realise just how much more potential you have- with the ability to screenshot, many things are just so much easier!
