Summer
The heat of the summer sun
warming my body
the afterglow of afternoon play
relaxing after a fun filled day
the smell of a barbeque starting
in the yard
salads, greens and potatos
icecream sodas and ripe tomatos
Lazy days and starlite nights
oh how I love summer so much
gazing at the moon
floating in a pool at noon
humming a favorite tune
laughing until your stomach hurts
Hugging and smiling, kissing
and trying to stop from
crying, cause you'e laughing so much
Days of wonder, awe and
thunder, buttefly bushes and
summer showers
fragrant scents of blooming flowers
love and children
and moments as such
these are the days of summer
I love so much.
