If you're looking to increase your typing speed, instrument playing abilities, or just looking for some easy hand exercises to do at work and ward off the dreaded carpal tunnel syndrome, here are a few easy to follow suggestions.
1. Place your hand on a flat surface and lift up your fingers one at a time. Gradually speed up. Then, go every other finger, back and forth. Make a rhythm and try to go as fast as possible for as long as possible.
2. Spread your fingers out and touch the center of your palm with each finger, one at a time. Try to keep your other fingers as straight as possible. This helps with coordination. Again, try for speed.
3. Crumple paper into a small ball with one hand, then flatten out the paper and repeat.
