The song, "I Did it My Way" by Frank Sinatra was playing on a taped recording with "Bridge Over Troubled Waters", by Simon and Garfunkel. It was a tribute to my late husband at his memorial.
I searched my mind with all of the songs that would be a reflection of him.
These two really stood out with thoughts of him.
He lived his life his way and he died his way.
He had cancer and we thought it was in remission but in the fifth year it came back. He tried to take the cancer in his own hands and said he will fight it all he can.
But that summer in July he lost the battle.
I will never forget his strength and courage in his battle for life.
Everyone at the service said I couldn't have picked two better songs that gave tribute to his life.
