Tips on buying a blackberry

by Paddy K

This is the next generation PDA which is marketed as all-in-one mobile phone, email device, web browser and organizer.

POINTERS TO KNOW BEFORE BUYING ARE:
1.The feature which makes it superior to normal PDA's which use "Pen" for navigation , is that the navigation here is through trackwheels, a build-in programme which shows as a menu on screen and can be navigated by keys. This gives a one-had operation. Especially useful if you are driving etc..

2.It does'nt have in-built browser, you have to download it.

3.Don't expect desktop like internet on this as the internet is rather slow.

4.The biggest disadvantage is ofcourse the Qwerty keyboard. For the people who are used for working on normal phones/pda's may find it difficult to adjust to Qwerty keyboard. But if you are like "practice makes perfect" then it should be ok :).

5.The serivce provider is always in trouble....and so are we :D

6.Lastly if you are a heavy mobile-phone user dont ever think of replacing it with blackberry, having to use headset all the time is sick..
