Every day, people fall victim to business opportunity scams. Those trying to bilk money out of individuals looking for an honest way to earn a living are getting more savvy and sophisticated every day. No matter how diligent you are in watching for the signs of a scam, there's always a chance that you might get fooled.

Simply call the FTC's consumer complaint line at 877-FTC-HELP or fill out the online consumer complaint form.

The best way to prevent being a scam victim is for not falling for these types of business ideas in the first place. Remember that if it was such a good idea, they would be doing it themselves and not making others pay them how to do it.
