Oh! Hail the school board, for she is our lord,
the master of all and the helper of none,
she lays out the rules to benefit one,
The school board, the school board, she reigns!
Oh! We are the peasants and she is our queen,
we struggle and work for that's how it's been,
a good school, a good school! That's what you all need
or at least, so she'll have you believe.
The life of a slave, there's no happiness there,
you'll struggle and work 'till you pull out your hair.
Alas, listen my friend, there's not hope at all;
you'll struggle and try but one day you'll fall,
and you'll wiggle and write and only too soon
you'll realize that now, you can't reach the moon.
If only, if only
you'd given your all,
then perhaps you might've postponed your fall.
Take solace my friends, for soon you will see,
I swear to you, this is the best way to be.
Explore, explore, find something you love
a woman, a man, a white turtle dove.
So, live your life now to its fullest extent
it's possible now, you're no longer hell bent
on living a life that's not even for you
but a school board official, some righteous old shrue,
Who's been tasked with the job of giving the nation
not a great life, but a great education,
which is great for the nation but not for your soul
but why should it care about you or your goals?
I tell you my friends, for the very last time
go find something else to do with your mind.
Move away to an island where the weather is fair
as long as you find your own happiness there.

This one's just for fun and I wrote it some time ago when HE colleges and polys were becoming the new universities.
Our halls
With a diploma in hand and your eyes to the sky,
you hunger for the future and you hunger for more.
With hopes in a major
Getting Closer
I think about the robes that I will wear
I think about the many caps and gowns
The many colored, different hoods
