Since the time of the birth of the American Nation we have had government spending. No one has ever cared much for it and many a president has lost his bid for reelection because of the spending he allowed during his first term in office. Spending is, of course, a very real necessity and there will always be government spending. Having that concept firmly in hand it should be painfully obvious to any person that has even the most feeble grasp of how government in these Unites States is meant to work that this administration is spending the country in to rack and ruin.

The Democrats, as a reaction to some difficult years in the second term of the past Republican presidency, control Washington and they have wasted little time in flexing their newly found political power. Part of that flexing is the deficit that this administration has created which dwarfs all the previous spending of any and all administrations that have preceded it in Washington, New York or Philadelphia. This administration has printed money that has no real value as it is based on exactly nothing and handed it out to every corporation, state and individual under the guise of sound fiscal reaction to the impending financial meltdown. This idiotic plan was tried between World Wars I and II when the German nation decided that they would simply print up more baseless currency and hand it out in order to fix their critically damaged economy. The famous pictures of people running down streets pushing wheel barrels full of useless currency in order to buy one loaf of bread are the result of this great fiscal thinking.

All the "Stimulus Package" spending is being done in order to save the now at the expense of the future. The sad truth is that the children that play at make believenow will be, as adults in the future, hard at work struggling to pay back the money that this foolish administration is printing up as fast as they can make the presses run. The children that those cashing the checks profess to love so very much are being sold into servitude to a debt that will break their backs and their spirits in the years to come. If the thought process here is that the spending of all this money is not unlike the plans of F.D.R. and his New Deal it should be remembered that there are many great minds that believe that his actions may very well have lengthened the Great Depression not brought it to it's end.

All the money that went to the AIG corporation went to the company without any strings attached.
