You can now order pizzas Domino's Pizza, watch your favorite movie or tv show instantly, on Netflix.com or Hulu.com and video chat with grandma at two in the morning. You can do virtually anything online and it is only getting better. I will go in depth into the many uses of the Internet so hold and get ready to learn more than you bargained for.

Email: A quick easy way to communicate with your friends, family and your personal business. Email is a great way to get a message across to someone without being present. This way you can think about your words and rewrite it several times to get the message across.

Instant Messaging: Instant Messaging is similar to email except it isnt recorded anywhere and it is live. People tend to truncate their words and use lots of acronyms. Overall, it is great to speak to a friend or family member this way if needed but if you want a more personal feel hook up a web cam and mic and chat in real time via video. Video chatting is by far one of the greatest developments ever. Now you can talk with family across the US or in another country and feel just that much closer to them.

Comparison Shopping. Using sites like epinions and helium you can learn about products before you buy them. Then you can compare prices easily and choose the site that fits your needs. The only downside is that some products are best tested in person such as computers, some electronics, cars, etc. So go to your local retailer, test it out, if you like it return home and find the cheapest price online! I average at least a 30% savings online. One benefit is no sales taxes and usually free shipping and handling.

Finances: Now you can easily review your monthly statements without waiting for them to arrive in the mail. You can easily and quickly sell stocks, buy bonds and earn money. The Internet has brought the financial world to the common man. Just beware not to loose it all, sometimes too much access isn't always good. You should always consult a financial planner before trading with your money. I can also login to my credit cards, bank accounts and more on the Internet. This allows me to keep my budget balanced and to avoid bouncing checks.

Earn Money: It is even easier to earn money online. Writing articles for helium, creating websites and earning via Google Adsense, or by selling your old products on ebay. The Internet has opened up a whole new income stream for millions of Americans.
