How much are your feet worth? If you happen to be wearing Stuart Weitzman's "Diamond Dream" Stilettos, you would probably place their value to be somewhere around $500,000. If you're wearing socks, you might appraise them at $5. By this reasoning, your feet can go from being worth a half of a million dollars to being worth five bucks, in a matter of seconds. All you have to do is take your shoes off. Your feet (the ones that hit the floor every morning to carry you through your day) are worth only the cost of their vessels and ...you want another pair of stilettos.

What about your dog; how much is your dog worth? If it's a purebred, you might place its value at $1000. If it's a mutt (with shots and a collar added) it might be worth, maybe fifty dollars. Your dog (the one that licks your weary face with unconditional love) is worth only the price of his pedigree tag and ...you want another purebred (female) so you can breed them.

How about your car, how much is that worth? Right about now, you're probably thinking over all of its amenities. Your answer will no doubt stem from how many of those there are. If you've got an oil leak however, its worth ranges somewhere in between your socks and your mutt. Your car (the one that gets from point A to point B) is worth only the cost of its lavishness and ...now you want an SUV.

Materialism will always leave you craving more (things). Too bad generosity doesn't have 6 inch heels and charity, I wish charity came with a bejeweled fuel cap. Unfortunately, compassion can't be driven down Rodeo Drive and kindness would never hoard its wealth. These (things) are free; ergo nobody yearns for them. Being free, according to society, makes them worthless. These (the most valuable commodities humans possess) we deem worthless; when in fact, these, are our most grandiose of treasures.

It's been that way forever, at least since my forever. Everyone I meet wants more. I've never met anybody in my whole life who offered up their belongings to another. (Stuff they wanted to keep for themselves, not stuff they were going to throw away anyway.) That's just not done down here I guess, but I think it maybe it was supposed to be. Otherwise, why would compassion, kindheartedness, benevolence and empathy, even exist? Everybody feels them. Many suppress those feelings, but everybody feels them. I didn't make them up; they're real. They should play a much larger role in reality, the leading role.
