Bath Oils can be applied to the body before getting into the bath opposed to the more usual practice of applying them to the skin after getting out of the bath. The bath oils seem to have a wonderful and tremendous effect on the body that seems to satisfy the body as it is enveloped in oil that is heated by the water from the bath and absorbed into the body by osmosis.
You can use any combination of essential oils for a variety of skin conditions like normal skin, dry skin, oily skin and blemished skin. By applying the bath oils before getting into the bath this method is also very useful for treating arthritis and rheumatoid conditions.
When you are mixing and storing your own bath oils you should store them in a glass bottle or jar that has a screw on lid that is airtight. The bottle or jar should also be dark in color like amber or cobalt because the dark color will help to keep your mixture fresh by keeping the light out. You can find bottles or jars that are amber or cobalt in color and these will work amazingly.
A useful reminder is that you should always test a small area of skin with a little bit of the mixture before you cover a large amount of your skin with it just to make sure that you don't experience some kind of an allergic reaction to the mixture.
These oils can be hard to blend together so you should always shake up the bottle a few times just to make sure that the oils are mixed together good before each use. Bath oils have been used for thousands of years by many different cultures for all kinds of different reasons. They can help to relieve stress, promote healing, reduce fat and cellulite and many other things because they are full of healing properties.
You do this just like you would with any other base oil. You should use 5 drops of essential oil to every 1 teaspoon of base oil. Then apply to the skin before you get into the tub.
