How getting engaged changes your relationship. Once a man commits himself to you with an engagement ring, you'll know he is truly serious about marrying you. If a man plays around for months and doesn't give a girl a ring, they are not sure they want to commit to a marriage. Many men feel they're trapped once they give a girl a ring and many men wait a long time before making that commitment. Sometimes, after men give a ring to a girl, the girl will totally change her outlook and feel she owns him and she'll start to dictate to the man what he can do and cannot do and try to boss him around and she'll end up losing him. Girls, don't feel for certain you have the man because he gives you a ring, if you start acting like they are your property, you'll certainly loose them. Engagements can be broken!
Once a woman gets a ring from a man they know the man truly loves them and is serious about marrying them. A relationship between a man and woman can completely change once a man has made a serious commitment to his woman. The two have many things they can seriously discuss about their marriage that they couldn't while they were just going together. There will be decisions to make as to whether they both want children or not, and many other matters will come up after that ring is on their finger. They will be able to honestly discuss their financial matters and what each one desires to accomplish in their marriage.
After a woman gets a ring, she can show her "real" love to her man. She will not have to fear expressing how she feels about him and how much she truly loves him. The relationship will totally change and they'll find they will become really close and love being together day and night. A woman and a man can show their "real" feelings and be honest about what they really like and don't like during an engagement. They'll find out just how compatible they are with each other and see a different face than they have seen before. Neither one should put on a phony front with each other after they're engaged...each one, man and woman, should allow each other to see the "real" person they are because that is what happens in a lot engagements, a man or a woman will act like they like to do this or that when they really hate it, and after they're married for a while the truth will come out.
A couple who is engaged can start discussing if they will rent an apartment or buy a home. All of these type things will start to crop up in their relationship. They'll feel more free to open up with their partner to discuss issues they have never discussed before with them. A ring changes everything in a relationship!
