Americans losing faith in government

One pundit claims their is no faith, because the US Government is gridlocked. This seems plausible; but in reality, there is no "...of,... by... and for the people..", which is why Tuan Nguyen said, "...government today is directly associated with the grid-lock that has been embedded into our own constitution..."

In order to quell the confusion, a constitutional renaissance of the republican principles of self-government must needs be brought into focus.

The most basic principles of republican government is responsibility. There also must be equity in congress, the virtue of democracy and, a college of inhabitants serving as the go-between the governed and government.

Equity in congress is accomplished through apportioned representation:(1) rep. for every 30000. The present number of reps was fixed by a law that must be used has a trial, because it denies the American people a republican form of government. 10000 representatives living in the government city of DC must replace the millions of bureaucrats who can't do anything about anything because they only work here. Furthermore, this law prohibits the governed from giving their consent, because there is no electoral college large enough to serve as the means of go-between.

The governed give their consent to their nominated and elected community leaders serving in the electoral college. The number of these elected gentlemen inhabitants, comprising the electoral college, must be equal to the total number of members in congress, so the governed can confer, establish the public will and well-being, a general consensus that is naturally applicable to all. Representatives confer with their constituencies through the electoral college; the virtue of democracy is entrusted to representatives who represent not themselves, but the governed.

The electoral college, the wise and learned, the inhabitants of the land, must not champaign, nor hold political office; which is why Article (1) section 2 & 3 state that senators and representatives "...shall not, when elected, be an inhabitant of that State in which he shall be chosen." This clause protects sovereign authority from pecuniary control.

The virtue of democracy is accomplished through the popular vote, which is two-fold. 'We the people' vote for electors. Additionally 'we the people vote for 25-30 yr old politicos serving for two years as representatives in the lower house of congress.

Representatives vote for 30-40 year old politicos serving for 6 years as senators; their legislation is subject to the lower house.

The president must be an exemplar of thrift, courage and fortitude, setting an example for the world to emulate.

These are the most basic principles of republican government. Its purpose is enshrined in the preamble of the constitution; justice, tranquility, common defense(heart), and welfare(equality) secured to people and future generations are easily made by implication. But the limits of republican government requires more thought. The key is "...a general consensus that must be general in its purpose as well as its nature to apply to all...a sound principle of equity..." Food, shelter, transportation, and communication are the preconditions of life, liberty, and happiness. Therefore, they must be the limits of republican government.

America's two party oligarchy is not the republican form of government guaranteed by the Constitution. Republican government has nothing to do with the Republican Party, just as democracy has nothing to do with the Democratic Party. Jean Jacques Rousseau and Thomas Pain should be sought for further clarification.
