How to remove skin tags

Forget about the freezing, the cutting or the buying of expensive creams. The cheapest, easiest and most effective way to get rid of unwanted skin tags is to tie a piece of cotton around the skin tag and pull it tight, tie once more to make sure the cotton is secure then you can forget all about the skin tag until it drops off a couple of days later. Skin tags are the annoying little bits of skin that form a little hanging ball found in areas of the body like the neck, under the arms, within skin folds (most common) although they can be found almost anywhere on the body and even though they do not hurt they can be irritating to a person if clothing is rubbed against them or if two areas of skin are touching each other constantly.

I managed to get skin tags on my neck after the birth of my second child and they were very annoying indeed because they were located at the collar height and they rubbed against all my shirts and jackets, needless to say I have used the above cotton method myself numerous times. Using the cotton method means the blood flow to the skin tag is cut off and it just simply ends up falling off, there is no mess like with the cutting method which will make you bleed, sometimes profusely. There is no expense and you do not have to take a trip to the store in order to purchase a cream that you will have to apply three times a day for days on end and you don't always lose the tag with that method. There is no need to go to all the trouble of freezing the skin tag or burning it off either, even though both of these methods are done professionally, basically there is just no messing around with cotton method, just tie it up and forget about it, of course it is best to use a cotton that is close to your skin color but it doesn't have to be exact because no one will notice anyway.

The great thing about skin tags (if you can attribute the word 'great' to a skin tag) is that once you have gotten rid of the tag it will not grow back, at least not with the cotton method I used anyway. Once the tag has lost its blood supply and fallen off the skin underneath looks as though it never had anything hanging off it and you are back to looking as good as new. If you have a skin tag that is extremely big and you do not feel comfortable with any of the above methods a skin specialist will sort it out for you, many people think that skin tags are not the domain for doctors as they are not taken very seriously but be assured that skin specialists take care of small little things like skin tags everyday, even your own doctor will do it for you if you do not mind the freezing method, most doctors will let their nurses take care of this as it is just the same as burning off a wart even though it is often just for cosmetic reasons we want them gone.
