Why vacation rentals are better than hotels

Everyone deserves a vacation that leaves a lasting impression of happiness that will be remembered for years. Nothing leaves a better lasting impression than staying at a cozy home instead of a stuffy hotel room with maids running vacuum cleaners in the hallway at 9AM. Renting a beach cottage or a ski villa will enable you to have the privacy that you want but can't have at a hotel. Family reunions can be planned year after year when renting vacation properties. Traditions can be created by renting the same house year after year. Large families will be accommodated nicely in a vacation rental instead of buying 4 hotel rooms that are across the hall from each other and have connecting doors.

By renting a vacation house or condo you will have the ability to talk with the owner of the property or the rental company before deciding on a particular unit. You will be able to make an educated choice by looking at several pictures and reading about amenities the unit has or doesn't have at online vacation home rental sites. One of the most successful online rental sites is www.vrbo.com which stands for Vacation Rentals by owner. Here you will find rental properties available all over the world. You can rent a chateau in France and be able to stay in many rooms instead of just one room in a hotel. It will be your house for the week or month, whatever you choose.

There are vacation rentals available almost anywhere you can think of visiting. Do your due diligence though and ask a lot of questions and find out if they have rented to others and if they have positive feedback. With Real Estate Rental companies you usually are guaranteed the rental will be in good shape. Also if anything breaks while you are on vacation the rental companies will have their own service men dispatched to your cottage and have any problems fixed usually the same day. If you will be renting from an individual ask them what would happen if the toilet broke and who would you need to call to come fix it. It's a trivial question but you don't want to be on your dream vacation and not have facilities to use.

It can be economical to stay in a vacation rental. If you are on a strict budget this is a very viable option for you. Vacation rentals are numerous and offer many different accommodations. Some offer 2 bedrooms and 2 baths while others will offer you 10 bedrooms and 6 baths. There is something for every budget. It's fun trying to choose a vacation rental too. With a hotel you get the same amenities and the same square box. With a vacation rental you get a piece of the local culture.
