I.R.S.

The name that brings fear to a lot of people, but they are just people who have policies that may be too hard to understand for themselves and filers and operate with the aid of computers that they might operate ahead of them. Many talented individuals with multiple skill sets failed to receive conformation for executive branch positions because of I.R.S. problems. Even they make mistakes and so does the I.R.S. The rule of engagement, as in most situations, is to act with minimal action in order to prevent confusion, anger or even disclosure of additional conflicts.

Operate with Due Care

When dealing the income tax task required of all citizens, do your best to follow all the rules in the first place, but do not panic if an error occurs. Movements that claim income tax are illegal and promote the not filing of income taxes fail to provide for the well being of the collective and place themselves at risk of criminal actions. When filing time arrives, a good faith effort provides for protection and the needs of the nation at large.

Problems Develop

A mother, who was an accountant, told her daughter when a letter came from the I.R.S. that you cannot fight the I.R.S. Mother instructed her to write the check and put it in the mail. The daughter looked at the letter and saw the statement that is she needed more information to write for it. She chose to write that letter. In the mean time, a friend of the family, an elderly man, died in his car from affixation. A letter had come from the I.R.S. stating he owed more than he thought he could pay. He could not figure out how he could make up the deficit with his health problems. At t his time the I.R.S, computers had gotten beyond the capability of the auditors. Many had received the letters and the auditors could not explain many of them. The young woman received a letter from the I.R.S. thanking her for the new information and that the I.R.S. had closed the claim. The only information she had given was that she was confused and others told her the I.R.S. was probably confused as well. She wished she had gotten to the family friend prior to the suicide. No problem is worth the loss of life.

Problems beyond Control

As in most organizations, there will be individuals who are short sighted and enthusiastic about the goals and objectives of the organizations. If all steps are taken to compromise and followed the line of command, it may be necessary to examine the services of a tax attorney more because of their experience and the relationships they have built with the I.R,S, They deal with them everyday and you only this one time hopefully. I admired the accountant who said she welcomed an I.R.S.; audit because it meant one person spared that might have made an innocent error while she could justify any item on her return. She did not begrudge the I.R.S. its oversight responsibility but realized the complexity of the task for most Americans.

The letter arrives from the I.R.S. and citizens should not panic. There is one way or another to deal with an organization run by people for the people.
