I really liked "Rocky Balboa". What could've been a very corny piece of film ended up being very heartwarming in the end. It's about closure. Rocky's closure with his boxing career, his family, and himself. While the journey lasted throughout six movies(with the fifth one being the only part I slept through), it was well with the trip.
The unknown actor playing the son was perfectly cast as he really looked like Sly Stallone's son. Adrian has passed away, and Rocky opens a restaurant which he names after her. Rocky stills hangs out with Paulie(Burt Young). Change is coming, but no one can quite see where it's coming from yet.
There isn't much going on in the love story part as he is still mourning Adrian's death, but there is a woman, an old school friend, that he befriends and also becomes close to her son. Some of this side plot was a bit droning. I felt it didn't need it as it didn't really help the film progress.
After a huge boxing match with the "CHAMP" of the year, a computer generated match between the Champ and Rocky sparks some interest. Eventually, the fight happens between the two after a short 'get in shape play inspirational music' montage takes place.
I left the theater feeling good and glad that I had gone to see it in the theaters. It was a feel good, inspirational, entertaining movie.
