My past is more pain than anything
hopes teased, built up and then crashed from searing heights
when I think of my memories
there are few that don't still have bite.
Annihilation of the dream
I have felt it a thousand times
and the realization that people are never what they seem
has cut me apart once at a time like the sharpest knife.
So yes,my past is pain
but that just makes me stronger
I will make the same mistakes no longer
baptised in such fire, more powerful than ever the soul remains.
