UNBOUND
Far easier to cover your ears
in a forest brimming with voices
of birds than to seek the one song
that will bring you calm.
Lose your way, be drowned
by sound. Randomness
becomes a pattern all its own.
Know there are paths
Waiting to be found.
Close your eyes. Breathe in
that thick air and learn
to release.
Your foot is not bound by roots.

Poetry: Being overwhelmed
Zeroed.
The dark wave rolls slowly over me,
Plummeting me way and far too deep.
My eyes shut tight, I see mosaic
But the wave
by Sid de Knees
I did not expect that!
There was one to the left, one to the right,
there I was caught in a horrible fight.
Pushing and
Flashes of the future come:
Scourging whips and lashing tongues.
Betrayal from a cherished friend,
where will all the heartache
by Carol Gioia
Weary and downtrodden,
feeling powerless,
beaten by the odds,
overcome with stress.
Thwarted by limitations,
succumbing to frustration,
by Bobby Coles
Boiling point reached a couple of stressors ago
Seems as though you're in a self-induced prison
Nowhere to turn to, nowhere
