The difference between skiboarding and snowboarding

The sports of ski bording and snow boarding are two different sports held in the winter month at many ski mountains or ski resorts. You have to have snow to do both of them, but besides that, they are way different from each other, no question about that, not a question at all that you can think of in any respect.

You gotta have talent to be a snow boarder, it's a real rough activity because you have to stay on your board up in the air and do flips and stuff. Not everyone can do it, but if you are a good surfer, wakeboarder, or surfer you have a pretty good shot of maybe someday turning into a really good snowboarder who might end up winning some competitions, you just never know. Here in the mountains of Pennsylvania, I think most everyone has tried snowboarding onece in my teice. The firts three times I tried it, I did major wipe outs and hurt myself two of those times. After that, I knda got the hang of it and me and my high school friends would go snowboarding on the weekends to relax and kick back. Then, I got married, became a father, and there just wassn't time for it anymore, so I hung it up and took a long break. Now, I've started snow baording again because my two oldest boys are really into it. So, I've been taking them up to the ski places where they allow snowboarding and try my best to teach them the tricks of the trade.

Ski boarding, when you look on that side of things, is kind of just a differnt way to ski. It's slower, but you can make more jumps and do all these added tricks and things. Instead of having skis on both feet, you have these short, wide boards. This activity is a good way to teach people who relaly arent around the winter sports life or skiing or anything like that to ski. A lot of them learn the trick of balancing and everything more easier if they try the snowboards first.

I guess both snow boarding and ski boarding are what you'd call extreme sports because they can be full of risks and very dangerous, but snow boarding is probably more exciting and interesting, especially when you watch the really experienced and good snowboarders, the ones who really know what they are doing....them ones who do big flips in the air, and the splits, and other crazy stuntman stuff. It's real fun to go to the snow board compettions and just watch. They have ski boarding contests too, but they just are not as fun really, well unless they do the real complicated tricks.

Snow boarding is doen in the winter olympic games every four year and I do not think that ski boarding is, at least I haven't seen it on there. I like watching all the ski events as I ahve just always really liked all the winter sports and keeping up with them.
