So, the big question is, how do you plan an Easter egg hunt? As always, when you begin to plan for such a fun and exciting event, put yourself back into the mind of a child. Think of all those things that you find to be fun. exciting, and amazing. Hunting Easter eggs is just that!
Although we adults take out the time to plan a good Easter egg hunt, that will be sure to engage both children and adults, we should never cease to begin with planning for those things that "we" personally find exciting and fun! Maybe you go back to your own early memories of Easter egg hunts and begin there or even unveil those fun things that we dreamed of experiencing, but never did.
So, you have just begun to identify your idea of a fun Easter egg hunt. You must now determine the worth of this fun and most amazing Easter egg hunt. Decide if your initial ideas are realistic or too far off for what you would like it to be in the end. Maybe the cost would outweigh the benefits or maybe you can overlook the cost and continue on with your initial ideas.
Once you are certain that you have a definite idea in mind and understand its worth, you can proceed on to finding the perfect place to hold the Easter egg hunt. You will need to determine who your guests will be and consider where they would be most comfortable attending the hunt. Remember it's important for the parents to feel comfortable at this place because parents will be more likely to allow their children to attend.
Determine how many guests will be attending before deciding on a food or snack menu. This will give you a better idea of the type of food or snack that you would like to serve, if any.
Now that you know what kind of Easter egg hunt, have found the perfect place for the hunt, created your guest list, and decided on food or snacks, you are ready to plan the more exciting aspects of the hunt. Who would have ever guessed that deciding on real or plastic eggs would be such a difficult task? Well, if you just can't decide, it's your Easter egg hunt maybe you use both.
Children will find it interesting to hunt and find real colored eggs as well as plastic eggs filled with goodies. If using plastic eggs, you will need to decide what kind of goodies to use, candy or toy items. Don't forget that some of the children may be very small, so consider the type of candy and toy items that you will use, to prevent possible choking hazards. One of the most fun things that most children look forward to is finding the "golden" or prize egg. The prize eggs will make the hunt more interesting for the children.
Determine what your prize egg is worth. Don't forget to get adults involved as well. Easter egg hunts can be just as exciting to adults as they are for children. You can involve adults through assisting in stuffing the eggs, coloring eggs, as well as finding secret spots to hide the eggs. Now that you have everyone involved in some aspect of the hunt, it's up to you to put your ideas into action and have the best and most memorable Easter egg hunt.
