God ordained sex plain and simple. And I could stop there. But I wont. Like all good things that God has created, mainly to be pure and holy, man has taken it and defiled it. God gave us sex as a gift, but not a gift for us to abuse. He has clearly defined for us what our sexual relationships should be like:

1) Between people of the Opposite sex

2) Within Marriage, and only to that person.

Sadly in both of these accounts man has fallen.

The Genesis account of Adam and Eve shows us that God intended sex to be the completion of two different people, of opposite sexes, to "become one flesh." In the creation account God brought all the animals to Adam to be named and found "none" which could be a partner for him. And God being omniscient and knowing what would be the best partner for him, made Eve, the perfect woman. Now if it was God's intention for man to be with man he would not have created woman. Unfortunately, as you know, more and more people are freely pursuing or "experimenting" with homosexual relationships, which biblically is contrary to how God intended it to be.

God only intended for two people who have committed to each other in marriage to have sex. Yes you could argue that there is no marriage account of Adam and Eve, but it is clear God joined them together as one, in a relationship that would have been committed to each other. And that is what marriage is. There are a lot of people nowadays who simply just do not want to marry. Some even though they may have been with a partner for a long period of time and have committed to them and them alone. I say in those situations, why not? Love is about commitment. If you do not want to marry someone that proves you either do not trust yourself or your partner because it shows that you are unwilling to make that indefinite commitment by marriage. And if that is the case you should not be sharing your body with that person.

And sex is sharing your whole body with someone and becoming complete with them. When two become one. That is why there is so much emotional destruction when sexual relationships go wrong. Because they have shared themselves with someone and been made "complete" with them, it makes things so much more devastating when the relationship breaks up. It causes more division, more hurt. And that is something which cannot be returned when it is given. Which is why God wants us to be committed in marriage before we are sexual with our partners.

You only need to turn on the T.V and see the increasing awareness the Government is placing on sexually transmitted disease. These are the result of the gift that people have abused. H.I.V and AIDS are devistating illnesses, which can be treated, but not cured. These diseases have came around because of mans lustful craving for sex and inability to control the desire. When God puts restrictions on things they need to be followed or there are consequences.

The only sexuality Christianity is compatible with is Heterosexuality, and only within marriage. You will not find anywhere in which God permits or even hints that it is permissible to have homosexual relations in the Bible. Sex is a gift for within marriage, a marriage to the person you love and are solely committed to giving everything to.
